    2011 Showreel My spring showreel for the year so far, including short fiction, documentary and live event work. All work included was shot on HD Canon DSLRs, ranging from 5D MK II, 7D to 550D. Clients can contact me for a more recent showreel at michelle.tofi@gmail.com

    Sacrifice is my international festival directorial debut piece; I also worked closely with the DOP as Second Camera on the short. We shot on 5D MK II and 550D in a beautiful period church in Stoke Newington. Sacrifice is a period drama set in WW2; here is the trailer, which I edited in Final Cut Pro.

    The Jude - Les Filles Francaises is a music video I shot as DP with director Jon Walton of Live From Abbey Road fame for the single release of The Jude’s sophomore track.

    Cypher 16 - The Lonely Road is the second single release for acclaimed metal band Cypher 16. I served as camera operator and key grip on this shoot, operating a Hague crane for some impressive aerial shots of Battersea Power Station.

    Grim is a short film I shot as DP with director Frank Soldato. The film was Frank’s Masters Degree final project, below is a teaser Frank cut to advertise the film’s premier.

    Philips Smart TV is a corporate piece I DP’d for consumer giants Philips to be broadcast at the largest trade event in the consumer electronics field in 2011.

    Freestyle by Skitzo is a freestyle performance by the Grime artist Skitzo I shot on a rooftop in East London in July 2011. I also graded and edited the performance.

    Best Customer is a Farsi language comedy short already in the running for several international festivals. I served as both DOP, shooting on 5D MK II, and script writer. The trailer is below!

    Above The Board is a short film by Romanian director Claudiu Tudor Pavel. I served as director of photography on the short, which was shot on Canon 5D Mark II. Below is the teaser

    Riot Viral - a quick and humorous viral video shot during the 2011 London Riots and turned around within 10 hours (from first shot to edit going live). I was DOP and editor/colorist on this shoot.

    Thingley Press Promo A corporate promo I shot for Thingley Press, to celebrate the launch of their new series of children’s books. I shot, edited and had this online within 48 hours at the client’s request.

    Richard Herring Live Standup - A short set from the comedian Richard Herring I filmed for The Evening Standard newspaper online edition. Filmed on two 5D MK II’s and edited in FCP

    Vanilla in Manila is a dramatic short I worked on as DOP for up and coming writer/director Time Brander in East London, March 2011. I shot the film on Canon 550D and edited it in FCP, rotoscoping the footage in ToonIt! and colouring it in Colorista II. This is the teaser trailer.

    HGM Freestyle is a quick HD freestyle by the talented Hood Grown Music boys, captured between takes for a full length music video for another artist in April 2011. I coloured and edited the freestyle in Final Cut Pro

    Good Night Brick Lane is a HD short shot in Brick Lane, East London in November 2010. I shot and edited this one solo as a test film to practice shooting with my Canon 550d ahead of a short feature shoot in Fenruary 2011.

    Kino Otokonoko: Wooden Boy is a Japanese language short film I co-wrote, co-produced, shot and edited for director Adam Grundy in late 2009. The film was selected for the 2010 ‘Eat My Shorts’ festival and screened to peer acclaim at London’s BFI, Southbank. I edited the film in Final Cut Pro.

    Economy is a short fiction piece in documentary style made as part of my first semester at London Met University. Alongside much of the camerawork, I also edited the film alongside Director/Producer Luke Ibbetson in Avid Media Composer.

    Eat American is a short documentary shot on location in a now defunct fast food restaurant in East London. I conceived, co-produced, shot and edited the film with Adam Grundy and Nikki Mustafa; we also composed and performed all music used in the film. I edited the film in Avid Media Composer.
