Little White Lies is one of my favorite film magazines. I usually ask for a subscription for Christmas and nothing pleases me more than the thunk of the mag hitting our floor as it’s delivered every couple of months. This month, in honor of the release of the 3D spectacular (!!!) that is Tron Legacy, readers are invited to submit their own MS Paint artwork celebrating the film. Here’s my attempt. Now, let’s see what you can do.

And yes, I have many 3rd year film essays to be getting on with. Whoops.

Drainspotting is a blog by Remo Camerota which, like many picture blogs before it, has now become a book which I strongly urge you to buy for yet more reasons the Japanese are cooler than us Brits.

The book basically collects some of the awesome decorated drainage system and manhole covers you can find in Japan, produced as part of a ‘city beautification’ project, and normally designed to link with the heritage of the town/city the artwork was destined for.

Second sketch using my Wacom tablet. This one has more of a cartoony flat texture, and uses far fewer brush styles. The previous sketch was done in ArtRage, this one is pure Photoshop. So far, I’m loving the graphics tablet. Can’t wait to start making some more original comics and animations!
